INPATIENT TREATMENT
What it is
Facilities where people with pornography use problems can stay for an extended period, typically at least a week. Usually involves a combination of group and individual therapy, wellness programs and time for self-reflection and personal growth work. Loosely speaking, doing "inpatient therapy" means "checking into rehab" for pornography use.
Ease of getting started
Most facilities advertise a phone number for potential residents to call for a consultation, which is easy enough. But getting treatment requires finding a facility that's convenient, a block of time when you can go, availability at the facility for the length of stay you want, and (potentially) sorting out insurance coverage issues and/or finding funds to secure a spot.
Human contact
Lots, both with counselors and other residents in group therapy settings.
Anonymity/confidentiality
You can expect the same level of anonymity and confidentiality at a treatment facility that you would in outpatient therapy. Of course, you will be stepping away from your life for some period of time, so the usual concerns about explaining your absence would apply.
Cost
Can be high - certainly the most expensive porn-quitting option. Your insurance might cover a portion of the cost. Without insurance covering the cost, inpatient treatment can cost roughly the same amount as an all-inclusive vacation at a luxury hotel.
Spiritual/religious component
Varied, depending on the mission of the treatment center. Read program descriptions carefully.
Pro tips
Research your treatment center carefully. Going to an inpatient treatment center is a major commitment of time and financial resources. Be a smart consumer. Look behind the sales pitch and the pretty pictures, and focus the resources and reputation of the facility you're considering.
Be aware that "reentry" into your life after inpatient treatment can be difficult. It may be worthwhile to discuss how your treatment center addresses "reentry" issues to give you the support you need after inpatient therapy ends.
